Hi, my name's Cindy Santos
I'm a videographer and filmmaker based in Luxembourg.
Quick Story about who I am and why I do what I do.

When you're young at some point someone's going to ask
"what do you wanna be when you grow up" ?

Of course, I wanted to be a veterinarian because I love animals, then a police officer because I liked the uniform, and later on, I wanted to be a psychologist because the human mind is so fascinating.
But these were only a few options for career paths I knew existed.

I always cherished memories
I started taking pictures with my 5-megapixel phone at the time in 2009.
Later on, I started recording videos of everyday situations, family reunions, and special events.
Watching those videos felt like a Harry Potter Moment. A MOVING picture, and even with SOUND!?
I could not only capture an image but also hear the voices of my loved ones, hear the ambient sound and see how they move.

At the age of 14/15 came the moment I had to decide which career path I wanted to take.
Chemistry and Physics? Mathematics? Business? Health Care? Social Studies? Art Studies?

My Art teacher insisted on me going to Art School. We both shared the same opinion.
Unfortunately, I was talked out of it as "Artists don't earn a living". I moved on to study Business.

One day I got my 1st "professional" photo camera that also allowed me to film in 720p. A Canon 1100D with a standard lens. I loved it!

It all evolved into a passion of taking pictures and making videos.
At that time I started editing my videos of the journeys and adventures I experienced with friends.
I started a YouTube Gaming Channel with friends, did live streaming on Twitch, and produced content for our social media platforms.

My passion for photography and videography grew enormously.

In the meantime, I finished my Business degree but I didn't like the options this degree gave me.
I went to university to study to become a social worker instead.
It was interesting. We had courses like psychology, philosophy, and sociology but I knew what I really liked, so started looking for film schools.
I was shocked at how expensive those schools were and I didn't want to get in debt for something I could learn for free on the internet.
So I started learning by myself.

Later on I found out we had a course for film studies in Luxembourg at the same Art school, I wanted to go to when I was 14/15!
It was extremely affordable. I didn't hesitate to prepare my portfolio and applied right away.
I qualified for one of the 12 available spots and got in.

In 2019, after two years of studies, I started working on film sets, making music videos, event shootings, commercials, and Interviews.
It's been a journey and I am happy to work in a field that I'm passionate about.
